Sara is a recent graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in dance performance with a minor in English studies. She is from St. Louis, Mo where she studied under the direction of Alexandra Zaharias. She has over 17 years of dance experience and has been trained in ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, partnering and tap. Sara was a member of BSU’s performing dance company Ball State Dance Theatre for four years. With BSDT she had many opportunities to perform including traveling to New York City to dance at the American College Dance Festival Nationals. Her choreography has been featured in many BSU showcases as well as selected to perform at the American College Dance Festival in Kalamazoo, MI. During her time spent in Muncie Sara taught ballet, jazz, and lyrical classes at Premiere Dance Center as well as choreographed for their competition team. She also worked in the BSU dance office as an assistant to the Director of Dance. She has worked with the American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive in Austin, Texas for the past 5 years and spent the last 2 summers as a supervisor for the program. |
